Dedicated to Jasmine Kueh Wui Thing

I'm on a blogging spree now!!

Okay, fine, this post is only on because Jasmine pestered me too.

Hence, the blog title.

She challenged me (well, more so bugged me) to write a blog post. So when I asked her for topics, she said, write about me.

So I'm now writing about her.

Jasmine. Hmm, what comes to mind about her?

(adopts the really annoying Noel's tone when answering questions) I know I know!!!

Jasmine is a really annoying person ;) who always bugs people to do stuff for her. And she never thanks them.

NEH, KEEP YOUR HAIR ON JAS, I was jk.

Well, first let me tell you of Jasmine's royal relations. Once upon a time, on a table in the school canteen (okay, mebbe not so long ago but still... :P) there lived a royal family. And this royal family was really wack but still, but still (unfortunately for the rest of us civilians) they were royalty.

And the royal lineage started off with Jeremy as King and Jasmine as Queen. (Hint: See I'm not coughing to signify anyth Jas!) *innocent look* And Sat as Prince and Tan as Princess *coughs violently* ;)

Jasmine was a very nice Queen (compared to the rest of the family *cough* Tan and Sat *cough*) and Jeremy was a very quiet King. And the Prince and Princess? Well, let's just say that they're boisterous. And noisy. And annoying. And irritating. Oops, did I say too much?

Well now, this royal family got servants (I SHALL NOT USE THE TERM SLAVES HERE) Whereupon, Jackie became the Royal Butler, Lee Lip became the Royal One-Man Orchestra (ask Tan for demo of Lee Lip playing orchestra music) Emmeline became the Royal Personal Basketball Couch for the Princess and I became the Royal Physician. We were all upgraded from servants mind you.

Okay, digressing back to the topic of Her Majesty, Jasmine Kueh Wui Thing, the first of that name (or so I believe)

Jas has been my buddy for like... almost forever. Sure there were a couple of years that we... you know drifted apart. I'm being totally honest here, okay! Yes, come to think of it, there were a couple of years where we found new friends and sort of drifted apart because our friends weren't exactly into each other. But well, we were always classmates ever since I was in Lodge. And I remember her and MTYP as my longtime buddies no matter what. Because after all, they were my very first friends in Lodge. They actually came up and made friends with me when I was in Kindy! I still remember Jas going, "Hello, my name is Jasmine. Wanna play?" It's so sweet eh? Considering, I was just staring at my rattan basket.

Yeah, we practically watched each other grow up together. I watched her blossom into a pretty, vivacious girl (don't deny it girl!) with maturity that far surpasses my own. I dunno what she watched me grow into though!

I've watched guys fall for her (Now you seriously can't deny that coz even Kim agrees). I've watched her going through her good times and bad times. I've watched her fall, I've watched her rise. I've watched her trail through kindy, primary and now high school. And though she doesn't know it, she's been a great help to tons of people, including me, more so during the past year.

Jas has been an utterly great rock during the last year to me. And continues being one too. Noel looks up to her (or so he says) and asks for her advice. I do too. Believe me, she's very level headed and can give good encouragement. Just ask her for it, and she'll be there to do it. Trust me.

She has also been my number one schemer in trying to disturb Kim. Or even to haul in money for the both of us for eg. the do-your-homework-and-sell-it-for-one-buck scheme. :P

Okay, okay, I'm starting to make this sound like a crappy love story (not that I'm a lesbian mind you and if you ever say so, I shall make you eat my fist) and making this sound too soppy. But it really is true. Jas has brightened my day more than once.

It's been a long time. From our first steps together in Kindy and now to those rare moments of laughter that we share while burrowing through SPM stuff now. She looks the same and pretty as ever. Her heart remains the same throughout those years, always looking out for her friends as always. And her heart might have even improved coz last time she was a little evil :P Wait, she still is. :D

Overall, Jas has been a great friend to me. She always cheers me up whenever I get too tense or too stressed out over my work. Especially when I'm worrying my head off about Prefectorial Board or organizing some event. She's always there, calm and cool-headed and ensuring me that whatever I do, I'll be able to pull it off.

Thanks Jas, for being such a great friend.

I will miss you when we finally have to continue on this journey of life, leaving school behind.

Cruel fate.

Through These Years

To everyone out there, irrespective of whether you're Chinese or not...

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2006! GONG XI FA CAI!

Bet most of you aren't ol to read my blog anyway.

Hmm... the other day, Kim, Khang, Jas, Van and I were sitting around in class on Friday (yes the one before Chinese New Year eve dodos :P). We were fooling around a LOT mind you. Because well, for one, Cikgu Tan Ah Siang wasn't teaching. For another, we were already in the CNY mood and couldn't bring ourselves to work.

Which reminds me I still have three Bio lab reports and Add Math homework to complete.

Oh, to blazes with that. I'll do it when I feel like it... which will be never. :D

Anyway, whole point is, we were reminiscing about our childhood. And it was also then that I realized that I have four friends who have been my classmates ever since I was 3... that means I've known them and stuck with them through classes for 14 years!! Can you believe it?

Me, MTYP, Jas, Khang and Kok. We've practically seen each other grow up through these years. We've seen each other go through horrors and joys... we've never ever been split up as in sent to diff classes. Wow, it's amazing ain't it?

I can't believe it's been that long. I can't believe I've known them and a whole bunch of other equally great people (the list is too long mind you but you know who you are!! :D) for such a long time... everything just seems so... yesterday you know?

Pfff... Kok thought that we've known each other for only 10 years. Short memory ah him. Pfff... can't even remember how long he's known the four of us. What a lousy friend. :P

And then when questioned about his "short" memory, he said he had a brain surgery when he was 6 erasing his memories. AS IF KOK!! The only surgery you got was getting stitches on your forehead... I think. Haha.

Khang is just so funny. He told me that when he still a little tyke in Kindy A, he bit Ben Teo (being the evil vampire he is ;) Girls stay away or he'll suck your blood!!! Haha kidding kidding.)
And this is the weird part. Instead of poor Ben bursting out into tears, Khang was the one who wailed and cried!! Is that plain weird or what? And then, Ben (the victim do not forget) was the one who comforted him. That's just.... funny in a very weird way.

Btw, Khang will kill me alive if he read that coz he yelled at me when I recounted the tale to ppl. :D

And oh yeah, in Kindy long time ago, I used to steal toys from poor MTYP. Heehee. She used to be the first to take toys off the shelves. And well, being the regular meanie (but I was one of MTYP's good buddies last time (weird huh) the other good buddy being Jas) I always took the toys from her saying, "I WANT THIS!" *snatch* :P Poor girl. Sorry Pey!!

Then we used to have nap times in Kindy? Where we had to sleep on mattresses (which now come to think of it was totally unhygeniec note the dried up sweat etc.) I remembered one time when Jas and I and Pey were sleeping side by side. And I couldn't sleep because I knew that after sleeping period was library period (as in we get to choose books off the shelves and read) OKAY! I ADMIT! I was a nerd even when I was three ok?! But come on. The books were nice and new and exciting (back then it was to me la)

Anyway, I was too excited to sleep coz I really really really was looking forward to getting a book and read. So Pey fell asleep but Jas was kept awake by my rantings. I don't know what I said but I kept whispering, "Don't let's sleep Jas. We keep awake k? You don't sleep I don't sleep."

And then the teacher caught me hissing and I was busted whereby she screeched, "SIAW HUI! JASMINE! GO TO SLEEP!!!" And with this really indignant glare (shot at me of course) Jas konked off. I konked off later after her.

Ahhhh the bliss of innocence. Kim punched MTYP when they were little tykes!!! Big news oh!! Can you believe Kim is capable of such unchecked violence? Can you?!

Haha. It was accidental of course la. But what happen was... the both of them were sitting on the bus heading for our field trip. And well, at that time (it's true even now) Kim was one of the tallest girls in our class as opposed to MTYP who was one of the smallest girls in our class. So being the very blind person she is, Kim rubbed her eyes and accidentally elbowed MTYP in the eye when MTYP turned a little. Kim claimed she didn't see MTYP coz she was just small and indiscreet.

So of course, MTYP clutched at her eye and started rubbing it so viciously that it was red. And Kim was so afraid that she had boxed MTYP's eye out or smth and kept saying, "Don't cry ok? Don't cry. I'm sorry..."

And Pey was like, "It's okay. It's okay. I'm not crying..."

And Kim was so scared that she clutched at MTYP's shirt and kept muttering, "Please please please don't tell your mommy. Don't tell your mommy. I'm sorry."

At which MTYP said, "No... I won't tell my mommy..."

Lol. And yes the ever infamous incident of myself getting stuck on the jungle gym. Pfff... When I was little, I used to climb the jungle gym... halfway only. I was afraid of getting to the top. But then one fine day, I saw one of the guys (it was either Khang or Kok or Ben can't remember) climb right to the top, sit down for a while and then clamber back down. And of course, being the kiasu person I am, I plucked up the guts and said, "If he can do it, why can't I?"

So being the pure idiot, I climbed right to the top and sat down there. And then I realized. I had a fear of heights.

I didn't dare to come down. I didn't even bother to try clambering down. I was petrified and I couldn't move. And then I started wailing and wailing and wailing to be fetched down. Of course, the other kids came gathering around the jungle gym, gawking at my loud mouth. And the teacher tried to coax me down but I wouldn't have any of it. And of course, in the ultimate end, the teacher had to climb up to fetch me down.

Now, everytime I see that jungle gym, I just give a small grin, because now, I'm just about 3/4 of the height of the jungle gym and no longer have any fear of it.

We had a great time in Kindy. I still remember Sing Yue, Kok, Ben and some other guy called Jonathan who's no longer here, being the tallest guys of the class. And to tell the truth, I once was afraid of them because of their height and posture. Haha. That's why I usually made friends with the smaller guys like Khang (I think) and Winston Law. But of course now, all the guys are taller than me. :D Hey it wasn't only me! I think Jas and MTYP were scared of them too... I dunno... but I think so.

It's funny how time flies. One day we're prancing around the playground being the pure idiots we are and the next, we're all grown up, the seniors of the entire school and bending over our desks, worrying about SPM.

It's been 14 years, guys, can you believe it? 14 years since we last visited toilets that were minature in size (Gosh, still can't believe how small we were) 14 years since we spoke like dumb and dumbers (you know what i mean... those childish slangs we all have when we were little tykes) and 14 years since we had pure childish and UNSTRESSFUL fun. Nowadays we have fun still. But nowadays, we have much more responsibilites and stress too.

I was once so little. Now I'm so... I dunno grown up? IN SORT OF A SENSE LA. I, we can't deny it. It's a fact. We're grown up now. We've raging hormones now. We have... well everything close to being a young adult. And soon... so soon... we're going to leave adolescence behind and step into the world of adults.

21 years is a milestone. I've been through 17 years. I've got four more years and then it's goodbye forever to adolescence and childhood.

When I turned thirteen, I remembered shedding a tear or two, knowing that I was embarking on teenage years now, that I was leaving all my childhood behind and taking only my memories with me. I thought, teenage years were going to be a nightmare (that's what everyone says what) and that I would love to be a child all over again. I still do as a matter of fact though. :P

But what makes the diff between the me now and the me then is this: The me then was a scared shy little me who wanted to relieve childhood never wanting to become a teen and never wanting to discover unexplored waters. The me now still wants to relive childhood... but the me now is someone who has been through SO MUCH MORE in these recent years, someone whose more bold and someone who's more ready to take on challenges (I hope) and someone, if given a chance, would (in a nice way) relive my adolescence. I've mellowed and become contented through the years instead of being the hyperactive, annoying kid I was once.

So guys, if you see me crying at my 21st birthday, don't be surprised or ask me why.

You know perfectly well by then that I will be missing my adolesecence so much that I want to be a secondary kid again.

Beyond disbelief

You think you're so ladida... manipulating others just so you can get your way...

Let me clue you in on real life... I'm beyond disgusted, beyond rage... because for what it's worth, you're beyond inhuman...

That's right you heard me. You know who you are, you very well do. Don't pretend it didn't happen because it did in the most undignified and disguting way.

You blew my friends and I right out of the water. Admit it.

Just remember, you had better watch your back because I'm going to do everything possible to stop you in your tracks.

Random-ness

This blog is pretty much dead. -_-"

Well it's not my problem. Pff... what with some teachers giving us constant tests all the time.

And Emma is leaving for Melb tonight the lucky pig. Grrr... she gets to skip a very extremely hectic day tomorrow i.e. having four science subjects in a row... with 2 periods of Physics and 2 periods of Add Maths.

On the bright side, I still have freedom... what with CNY coming around the bend... but after my one week of celebration it's back to work with the capital W.

Anyway, since this blog post is supposed to be about some random stuff. I'll give you some random stuff: starting with what's been up with a couple of my classmates lately...

Kimberly - She's still Kimberly. Pure idiot at times :P, a little bit more serious this year (probably due to SPM year) but she's still blur at times. Teehee. And lately, we've been soooo utterly bored that both me and her started whacking each other with long rulers. I started it first... and then it turned into a ruler sword fight which stop pretty much abruptly when Cikgu Kenny gave me a glare that said "Stop-rulerfighting-and-pay-attention-to-what- I'm-teaching-on-rate-of-reaction!!!"

Elane - My partner in crime when it comes to bullying Kim. Pretty much due to the fact that Kim is sandwiched in the middle of us. Like the time when we tried to slip a "certain-misleading-and-irritatingly-stupid" letter into her bag... Pity Kim didn't open it. I had to tell her to open it. Geez.

Emmeline - HAH! I stole her glasses off her table and she ran around the entire class looking for it (She actually thought she forgot to bring her glasses just because I told her so!! LOL) and then while she was still running around, I slipped the glasses back onto her desk and shouted at her, "WHOI! It's here what!!" And she came running back and was like, "Eh, yeah hor." Rofl.

Alison - Well, well, well. This girl pretty much doodles comics about certain "adventures" of Emm and her. And recently I got featured in the comic (as Huitler mind you... Thanks Noel for that everlasting nickname of mine :P) and let's just say... I didn't come out too well in the comic. First, I got blasted in my face with some explosion involving a Bunsen Burner and then I was blamed for the explosion and had to run for my life.

Vanessa - Ahhh the interesting one. ;) Recently, cute little Van (Okay, I don't know why I said that but heck...) is currently noting a certain person's good looks. Okay, fine, I admit, he's pretty good looking okay, Van? But the thing is... Okay, before you pounce on me, Van, I'll clarify... Van isn't having a crush. Far from it. I know her better than she knows herself and I am absolutely positively sure that she's not crushing. LOL ... He's quite cute admittedly Van, I never said I disagreed but still... actions speak louder than words so here's the little happening that happened in school...
Me and Van are walking up the stairs to our class.
The person in question (Let's call him Anon rofl ok?) is walking down and meets us head on.
Anon: (notices me and smiles) Hi.
Me: (glances up briefly, notices Anon and smile) Note: I know Anon and so does he. Hey.
Van tags behind me as I continue walking towards class.
Me: (more amused than ever and wanting to provoke Van) You know it's funny. That's the 4th time I've bumped into him today and that's the 4th time he's said Hi.
Van: (grins) Yeah. I want to go down now instead of going back to class.
Van, Van... whatever happened to I'm afraid of good-looking guys? LOL

Jasmine: HAH! Together, we have come up with the most brilliant do-your-homework-and-charge-everyone-who-copies-it-one-dollar scheme!! I was complaining coz my books (esp Maths Add Maths Chem lab report and Bio lab report) keep disappearing off my desk to Jas. And then she was like, "HEY! I know! Charge them one buck everytime they borrow. That way you do your homework AND you get free cash. Then you can spend the cash on me." LOL

Sally: Poor girl. She accidentally broke her specs... and is currently obssessed with a really annoying song that goes FALALALALA numerous times.

Khang Wee : Ah... the organized class monitor. He's currently obssessed with black whiteboard markers eversince Mrs Ngu took the class one and never returned it. I.e. his obsession is clearly proven by: "EHHH, Siaw Hui! That marker looks like mine le!" Let's steal it! whenever a teacher with a black marker enters the class.

Aidan - Currently has a very interesting nick ;) and a currently dirtyminded brain. I shall not specify.

Akmal - Currently is calling me Bally (the new version for the word Ball which was my not-so-long-ago-nick) just because of some lame thing I said concerning the Prefect Workshop. Again I shall not specify... just in case Sha and Ak reads this blog and hoot with non stop laugher.

Noel - The squirrel is supposed to be gathering his nuts now and hibernating (it's near winter) but he is currently annoying both me and Akmal to death in the Physics lab. Note to self: When dismantling the ripple tank, he smashed about four pieces of it (large and small) into several parts of my body i.e. leg, arm, elbow, palm...

And that's about it.

PFFFFF... Twelve tests after CNY!!! Are the teachers crazy?!!!

Block C is now an abandoned block in Lodge and it's an increasing liability because the ppl go there to do stuff and we prefects are have to go there to catch them. PFFF...

No Sports Day!! YEEHAH!! I don't care whether Khang is pissed off about that fact or not... but still YAY!!!

I HATE RIPPLE TANKS AND DRAWING GRAPHS! Esp nonlinear ones. PFFF...

We (namely Sing Yue Kim and I) almost spoilt Mr Chan's wave monitor and speaker. Heehee (Kim screamed into it and Sing Yue went Ngee Hong into it)

CNY IS COMING UP!!! YESSSSSSSS I LOVE HOLS I LOVE HOLS I LOVE HOLS!!

Anywayz.. that's enough random rantings today. I shall now leave to complete my Add Maths assignments or get bombed very very very hideously by a raging Mrs Ngu...

Of prefects, bruised bottoms and everything else in between

Okay, gimme a moment. I'm still cracking up over the title. *Note the bruised bottoms part* Lol, I'll explain to you guys later. :P

Warning, it's going to be a long post today. Lol.

Anyway, yesterday was a really hectic day but it was really fun as well. If you were here with me, you'll see a goofy grin over my face. Aftereffects of torturing the prefects during the prefect workshop yesterday. But hey, they were tortured, but it was fun torture. Contrast, no?

I'll bring you through the day. Time by time starting from the time of:

7.00 am
The arrival of the senior prefects. Namely, Kok Ming, myself, Joyce, Melissa, Tiff, Alena, Janet, Sing Yue, Ben and Akmal. We were supposed to set up the blind man obstacle course and the running-up-and-down game (like I said, we tortured the prefects. ;) Pfff... but we ran into a little bit of problem first though.

It was raining buckets of water. And our obstacle course was supposed to be on the basketball court which is out in the open! So needless to say, since the court was wet, we were in deep trouble because we had no back up plan!! Garr... we actually booked the hall you know. But those Gimrana wannabes kicked us out of the hall. Last minute again ah! Pfff... so we reverted to the canteen.

All of them set up the course (in the end we had to change the original sketching and planning of the course because of limited space but the changes were better!) except for Joyce, Melissa and me who went up to set the running-up-and-down game.

7.15 pm
Us trio mentioned above, set about finding the hardest places to hide the pieces of puzzles in the classrooms. In this game, the prefects are supposed to sent up one runner from their team at a time to find one piece of the puzzle and to bring it down for the rest of the group to piece the puzzle together. They have a time limit of 30 minutes and there are 10 pieces of the puzzle. And needless to say, being the mean people that we are, the classrooms containing the puzzles are on the 3rd floor meaning they have to run four flights of stairs.

Btw, for all those prefects out there who are intending to murder me, all the hard places were set by Joyce. I gave easy ones... well sort of. Nyehe. The pieces were hidden under the blackboard ledge, behind the shelves, behind the door on the wall where the door hinges meet with it, under the desk, under the desk leg, on the sink, at the fan controls, under the chalkbox, under the teacher's desk and on the broomstick.

7.30 am
We were still in the midst of setting up the game when Casundi walked past the classroom where we were hiding the puzzles!! At this, Joyce, me and Melissa jump at once and shouted, "HOI! GET LOST! WE SETTING UP GAME! SHOO!!!" Poor girl, she looked just as shocked as us. :P

And then this Joyce and Melissa, they had the nerve to bully me. Pfff... they made me stick the diff clues on my diff fingers, claiming it made their job easier. End result: I looked like a scarecrow with overgrown white-paper-clues-for-fingernails and they started laughing like they'll die at any minute. Pfff...

Then Akmal called, telling me most of the prefects were already in the foyer. So I had to go down and start the registration.

7.45 am
It is not a good idea to have a registration desk plonked right in the middle of the foyer especially when there are Mandarin classes, taekwandoe and Gymrama going on in the school that day. Because you get weird stares from students and parents alike who are coming in via the foyer (which is just about everyone) What more, there were several misunderstandings...

Thinking that we were the help desk of some sort (when we were actually just registering prefects) two mothers came up to me and Kok Ming and asked us where Gymrama was being held. The first time this happened, Casandra saw it and started laughing like she was going to die. Kok Ming and me were like staring at the mother, dazed and then after blinking several times, we tried to answer the mother's questions about Gymrama. And then right after that, another mother came, asking the exact same thing. GEEZ!!

Remind me next time, to get a sign that says: Prefect Registration ONLY. This is not a help desk so please don't ask me any other questions!!

8.30 am
The workshop kicked off with Mr Lee giving us a half an hour speech, Then Kok Ming and I, with the seniors beside us :P gave like five minute speech on being prefects. Then it was off to the foyer for the first icebreaker game.

9.05 am
The first icebreaker was to take of one of your shoes and to toss it in the middle of the ring. Considering that Kok Ming and me were standing in the middle of the ring of prefects, I know for one thing that Akmal tried to get as many prefects to toss their shoes in and innocently hit me with their shoes while doing so. However, only one shoe managed to hit me, and that was on my leg. HAH! In your face!

After that was the second icebreaker whereby each prefect is to take one sweet from the container. Each sweet represents something different. Black represent your deepest fear. Orange represent your happiest moment. Red represents your hobbies. And purple represents your ambitions. All I can remember from this game is that one of the Form Five prefects is afraid of cats? Can't remember who though... but that caught my attention coz the fear is odd.

9.45 am
The prefects were divided into four teams using puzzle pieces. Lazy to explain in detail. Group 1 and Group 2 were taken by Kok Ming to play the blind man obstacle course. In that game, they had to pass through the obstacle course blindfolded. It was up to them how many people wanted to go through the course at any one time: whether one member at once or a whole team at once. Then the other team members would hiss instructions on how to get through the course. Looking at the set up of the course, the team had to shuffle along benches while straddling them, climb over strings and go under strings and walk. Then the last part of the course was done unblindfolded, whereby they had to pass a web of strings while carrying a broomstick with the condition the broom stick does not touch the string thrice. The first group to complete the course must lift the flower (placed there by Kok Ming :P) to signify that they came in first.

While Group 1 and 2 were doing that, Group 3 and 4 were under my charge and played the running-up-and-down game. Group 4 did a marvellous job. They found all the 10 pieces but couldn't piece the puzzle in time. Group 3 found 9 pieces. Considering everything like the slippery stairs, that was no mean feat.

Over on the other side, Group 1 won with a time record of 8 minutes.

10.30 am
The groups rotated. Group 1 and 2 came for my game and Group 3 and 4 went to the course.

Group 1 was excellent, magnificent. They not only found all ten pieces and pieced the puzzle in 23 minutes but for all it's worth, they actually found another extra piece of puzzle that Group 3 failed to find. Bravo guys! You guys did great!

Group 2 however, ended up just the same as Group 4. Real pity but well done guys too!

Over on the course, I heard the teams took 20 minutes to complete the course but all the same, they got through it in one piece but I don't know who won for that race.

11.00 am
We did reflection on the games and asked the Form 4 prefects to comment on the games.

11.30 am
We had lunch of chicken rice. During which, Akmal, Joyce and Casandra bullied me non-stop. The indignity of it all.

Then all the seniors except for Kok Ming and inclusive of me went hiding at different parts of the school. The game after lunch was called hide the facilitators and the object of the game was to find all nine seniors and obtain their signature. The fastest team to do so and to return as a group to the foyer to hand Kok Ming all nine signatures would be the winner.

Joyce and Melissa TYP hid in Block A classrooms. Tiff and Ben(I think) were in Block C classrooms. Alena and Janet were in Block B classrooms. Akmal hid under the Block D stairs, Sing Yue in Block D classroom and I was sandwiched between two sofas which were placed at right angle to each other with a squarish place to hide in at the Block D staffroom.

After reaching our places, we started smsing each other asking whether the game had started after putting our phones on silent mode.

12.00 pm
Prefects ran amok trying to find the us. Fifteen minutes passed and though all groups had found 7 of the seniors, only one team had found me and Akmal.

Guess who found me first?

The other Wong Siaw Hui! For my name's sakes!! WOW!

Anyway, my neck was extremely sore because I had to curl up into the smallest ball possible to keep myself hidden from view. The effect was better than I had imagined because plenty of prefects walked past the sofas countless times and couldn't even find me unless they walked closer to the sofa in question. I kept my head on my knees at all times, hoping against hope that people would find me soon cause I was starting to cramp from the effort.

12.30 pm
Sjane cheated! She tried calling my hp but I switched it on silent mode and I rejected her call. Haha! I could hear prefects yelling mine and Akmal's name as footsteps continue to resound across the entire Block D. Never knew my hiding place was that good. :P But Akmal would prove to last longer than I would. By five minutes. Footsteps continue to resound across the sofas in the staffroom and the shutter next to me rattles with prefects banging on it violently. :P

Then the most amazing thing happened.

Janice, Yi Ping, Vui Yung and Aidan came into the staffroom. They were tired and while holding my breath, I heard Yi Ping say, "Aiyah, so tired ah. Lazy already. Let's take a rest."

With that, they plop down on the sofas!! Aidan sat on the sofa whose armrest my head was propped against!! I could see part of Yi Ping. And in my head I went, "Uh oh."

Then Yi Ping went, "Hang on. There's something wrong here..." Out of the corner of my eye, I see her get up and walk nearer to me and I hold my breath and crouch even lower. Then... "SIAW HUI! HAH! WE FOUND YOU! AND THANKS TO OUR LAZINESS!"

I unfold myself and start grinning and laughing like anything because the entire episode was just so funny. Meanwhile, Aidan was like staring at me because I bet he can't believe that my head was just inches from his hand and he didn't even know. Haha.

So finally I had only one group left. Group 1. Their rep Nick Voon found me at 12.45. Five minutes before the last group found Akmal.

12.50 pm
All hell breaks lose as the remaining two groups realize that two groups have already completed the task by finding all nine. Everyone begins screaming the name of Akmal. Then five minutes later, all groups run back to foyer. Akmal emerged from the stairs and the moment we saw each other, we started bawling with laughter. It took quite an effort to get back to the foyer. Number one, we were laughing extremely hard. Number two, my neck and legs were numb from crouching into a ball and his entire upper body was numb because he was sitting under the stairs still. But we gave each other high five, because we were the two last ones left. But he beat me to it. Pffff.... by five minutes only la!

Vanessa kept staring at us like we were mad cows. And I can understand why. One minute, both of us were like OUCH! OUCH! IT HURTS! The next moment, we were laughing and high fiving. Haha.

YES! I laster longer than seven seniors! I'm good!

1.00 pm
The workshop ends. Overall winner was Group 1. Thanks to their spectacular performance in the obstacle course and the running up and down game. The find-the-facilitators game was won by Group 3. Everyone went home except for Kok Ming and the form Four prefects. He was supposed to talk them about something.

I went home and fell asleep while reading a book before waking up at 4 to go to music practice at church. Then at 7, we had youth. And boy, did we play such a cool game. But after that, we had bruised bottoms.

The game is hard to explain without visual aid. Lol. But it involves shifting your butt from chair to chair to chair as fast as possible if not you will surely lose. Your reaction has to be extremely fast. And while shifting your bottom from chair to chair as quickly as possible, some people *cough* Samuel Sii *cough* get too enthusiastic and almost fall off chairs. The game also involves a quick game of rock paper and scissors at certain intervals. And some people *cough* Agan *cough* make up some new signs instead of the normal rock paper and scissors one.

Joke of the night:
Samuel: (asking Agan) You're from Bario right?
Agan: No, I'm Agan.
Samuel and I: ...

School Days

School days are here again... at least until Chinese New Year holidays!

*rubs hands with glee*

So how was the first day of school? Well, it started out quite sad for me because when I woke up in the morning, I realized that this would be my last first day of school. Because this year is my final year in Lodge. I would really miss you guys when we finally have to part. :'(

And then when I reached school at 6.30 (thinking craftily that I had beaten half the class to school and rejoicing in the fact that I would get to have a wide selection of seats to choose from) I realized that half the class had beaten me to school. Pfff... but kind old Mini saved me a seat. It's the exact same seat I had last year. Just in front of the teacher. Pfff... but oh well, at least I can see the board. :D

Btw, Mini came to school at 6.10 on the first day! OMG! Can you believe it? I couldn't. When I saw her in school when I arrived, I thought I saw a mirage. I mean, sorry Mini, but really, I couldn't believe it that you beat me to school for ONCE IN OUR ENTIRE LIVES!! Shows you how bad your punctuality record is. But all the same, thanks for saving mua a seat.

Oh yeah. Which reminds me. Kim had better get her earwax out. She hear plenty of stuff wrong. When I was talking to Mini about new prefects, she turned around excitedly and went, "Who? Who? Who is the new couple?" Mini and me were like Huh? Then she heard fresh fruits as banana fruits. Hands on became hand phone. Got two more others but can't remember. Weird la her.

Wahlau, that girl got nerve ah. Today, she came out of her car and upon seeing me, she tried to get me to take out her school bag for her!! Wahliu, is my position that degraded that I became her slave instead of a prefect? She came down, looked directly at me and pulled a pathetic face (she always likes to act cute but she's not... :P) and then pointed back into the car at her bag. And that's when I shouted back: Whoi. So old already. Carry yourself la!

Oh oh. And then on the first day, when Mini got angry at me, she did a King Kong impression. Which means she beats her fists against the air instead of her chest. LOL. Alison, Kim and me nearly died of laughter.

First day was busy and wreaked with havoc. I was running up and down, getting things settled especially for the prefectorial board and others. Kim said I looked stressed on first day.

Oh yeah. And we changed classrooms! Cas is calling us classroom stealers now because we migrated to her classroom. Hmm... it's nice actually. It's colder because we don't have a MALFUNCTIONING AIRCON like last year. It's brighter (way brighter) than our classroom and for once we have windows. Lol. So we're not cut off from the outside world unlike last year when we had no windows at all. The atmosphere this year doesn't send us to sleep as easily as last year.

So far, we haven't had much homework (jolly good I don't want it to change :P) and the teachers haven't exactly started on the you-have-to-work-hard-this-year-because-of-SPM speech yet. Although Cikgu Anita has already told me that, to which I replied I'd rather get a heart attack first. LOL :P

Btw, SPM dates this year are reasonably and I'm actually happy with the examination date. It starts on the 6th of Nov and ends on the 30th of Nov. Unlike previous years when SPM drags into December and kills just about everyone's Christmas mood. Tis the season to be jolly.

My apologies, that song pops into my head whenever Christmas is mentioned.

I blame it entirely on Alison.
