Of prefects and roses

Hmm, if you guys must know, I'm still waiting for kim and emm. Anywhoz, I was totally bored and decided to put a new post. Hehe.

Yeah, yesterday was Teacher's Day and well, in my opinion, it was like the most CRAZY day I've ever experienced since... forever! If you guys don't know, the Form Four prefects were supposed to put up a presentation for the teachers and well, we were supposed to be giving out roses during our presentation and all that. SO all right, here's the deal.

Pretty petals did not arrive on time. From the name, you guys must pretty much know that it's the florist we ordered our roses from. They were supposed to come at like 8.45, which is like 15 minutes before assembly begun. AND, they got lost and arrived at like 8.55 when the assembly had begun. It was kinda funny I guess if you look at the way Emm and I raced madly back to class, prefect ties and hair flying like mad. Perhaps Alison would tell you how we looked like, IF she remembers. :P and oh yeah, emm looked like some olympic runner coz she was holding like this HUGE bouquet of roses, just like an olympic torch!

Admist the mayhem, surprisingly, we managed to pack the roses, in time, into the baskets just as the national anthem was blaring from the hall. And admist THIS madness, I actually changed in class while praying and praying that no one was looking up into my class from the dome! lol I swear I'll never do that again. :p

So all right, we rushed down to the hall, me sweating and panting like a wounded animal and placed the baskets. And we got complaints from the oth Form Four prefects about the roses. It is true, half the roses we got were like UNblossomed ones. :D I remember sjane holding a rather unshapely and closed rose and demanding, "Get this one out! Get this one out! So ugly!!!" LOL Sorry I sorta lost it with you sjane when you did that. I suppose I was kinda stressed. Forgive me?

The prefect presentation was so so I guess. The standard that had been set for us the previous THREE, let me repeat, THREE years by our predecessors was SOOOOOOOO high. Imagine this really long and high bar that we, the prefects had to jump over... something, in my opinion, we either barely passed or crashed hopelessly before it. Dang, I always hated high jump! :D

Let's make a list of things of what went wrong DURING the presentation:
1) SOME extremely bright and sensitive person (NOT!) did not allow us to close the curtains which later led to our 'luan-ness' in setting up the stage and make us lose an element of surprise on the audience
2) Our video was cancelled!!!!
3) My keyboard was so soft that kok ming actually had to use his head mike to amplify the sound. Thanks, kok ming!
4) There were SO not enough mikes for the singers. Blasted PA system! I mean like, those singers trained extra hard only to be put off my limited mikes. The indignity of it!
5) The rose givers missed their cues to come on stage... well, actually that part, although kind of a failure, was actually cute. I actually saw some of them blundering onto stage, quickly disappearing behind the curtains and march, panting, back into their positions on stage. Anywhoz, you guys did a great job in giving the roses! THANKS GUYS!

And oh yeah, emm and sing yue told me this hilarious story. Emm was giving the Add Maths teacher a rather closed rose, and Mrs Ngu responded with, "May I have the white one?" HAHAHA! Wish I had seen the look on Emm's face.

All in all, it was all right I guess. After all, WE HAVE HOLIDAYS NOW! But, sadly, we have exams like two weeks after our hols end. Sob. Oh wellz... life's young and this post is definitely in one of my memories. Hmm... I guess I'm done. So toodles till the next time!
