Wow. Haven't blogged in a long time.
Aih, just for interest's sakes, I shall state my reaction to today's Mock Sejarah paper.
Me: (flipping through paper) Where's World War 2? (flip) Where's Germany? (breathing harder) Italy? (even more panicking) Sistem Ahli? (flip even more insistently) Rentap? (flip flip flfp) ANYTHING THAT WAS TIPPED? (flip to end of paper) (start screaming)
Okay now that's out of my system... we shall now proceed to something that follows Van's style of blogging (you pioneered a good way of blogging about friends and letting them guess heehee!) so yeah...
A special something for all of you guys who've made me who I am today (besides my family like doid!). In no particular order (so don't come bonking me in the head) and of course, boys and girls alike :)
1) The first time I saw you, your hair was tied the same way as mine! Over the years, we sort of lost touch with each other. I still remember how we used to quarrel about stupid things. Once, the arguments were extremely frequent but we always apologized in the next few minutes. Except for once, where I actually called you because I couldn't bear not talking to you anymore! What you've done to me... is that you've made me realize that people from the wrong side of the tracks like you and me can actually meet and become friends that last. Though we're worlds apart, we still somehow find something we can relate to. You're a very trustworthy person; I trust you with all the secrets I have and I know that you'd never reveal them to anyone for that matter. You're an extremely nice person to be with at all times because of your pleasant character. You're the one that I trust the most.
2) The first time I saw you, you never really made an impact on me. Over the years, you still remained the distant shadow in my life, always there and yet never intruding into my life personally. You were like the observer on the fence, hanging with your friends and never mingling with mine. The first impression you ever made on me was when you comforted your friend who was crying so bad and that was when I realized: "You've got a heart that's caring." You used to bully me about everything under the sun including my involvement in Sports Day. Because of that bullying, I used to resent you for your sometimes cutting remarks. But in time, I learn that you're actually a very friendly person, one who cares about friendship and is passionate about what you believe in. What you've done to me... is to teach me skills in many areas I never knew how to. You taught me how to lead and how to work things to my advantage. You've also taught me the extreme importance of family and how I should cherish them. You're the one that prevents me from falling due to my anger and frustration at things.
3) The first time I saw you, I extended my hand and said shyly, Hi my name's Siaw Hui. Over the years, we first became fast friends. Then we faded away. You found your new "entourage" and I found mine. You were the more popular one and I was the one who stayed in the shadows, working hard and never being really noticed. We fought a lot in our past over stupid silly things, we called each other horrid names because we misunderstood each other. But somehow, we managed to get back together again and we've been tight ever since. What you've done to me... is to show me how mature you are in your thinking. You are wiser beyond our years and your wisdom has taught me how to look at things in different lights, comparing them and then taking the best to my advantage. You've taught me how to analyze situations like a pro and to take the best choice of action. You're the one who understands me.
4) The first time I saw you, I taught: Oh you look scary. Over the years, I realized that my first impression was wrong. You weren't scary at all. You were quiet despite your "overpowering" looks and we never got off to a hell-of-a-ride start. Out of all my friendships, yours and mine started quite late in our school years. Nevertheless, you've done a lot of work in my life and I really appreciate it. I used to think that we were extremely different, but when I got to know you, I realized that we actually have quite a lot in common... though we enjoy bickering over the silliest things at time. What you've done to me... is to show me that I can just be me and not pretend to be someone else just to have someone like me. You manage to make me feel comfortable everytime we hang out and you bring joy to my day since you're easy to poke fun at! You put a very high price on friendship and through you, I realize that friends can have a relationship that will last forever. You're the one who advises me.
5) The first time I saw you, I thought: You're weird. Over the years, I realized that my first impression wasn't far from wrong. But I realized that underneath all that "weirdness" is a heart of gold. You care a lot for others that care for you and though sometimes, you grdugingly don't want to show it, I know that you do care for your friends. You often don't want to act mushy to the extent that you always shrug off hugs and so on, but deep inside, we can all see that you actually feel the same way about those who give you those hugs. What you've done to me... is to show me how to laugh at myself because you can laugh at yourself. You've taught me how to take life easy and to stop taking everything so seriously. You have also taught me how to analyze situations and to take decisions that are based on a good deal of logic and heart at the same time. You're the one who forces me to think before I act for my own good.
6) The first time I saw you, I thought you were shy. Over the years, you slowly proved to me that you were not. You could be bold and loud when you wanted to. You could make your opinions heard loud and clear when you wanted to show the world what you're made of. You could be brash even! Among all my friends, I sometimes feel that your character resembles me the best. We are alike in many ways actually. I've always felt very comfortable around you and feel it easy to relate to you and to share things with you. You've always been there for me, telling me what to do and not what to do. And though you always say that you sometimes you might not have the best advice, I know that you sometimes do. What you've done to me... is to show me that life is more to academics by being carefree about yours. You've shown me how to be boyish tough like and not be intimidated by it because that's the way I am. You've also shown me how to live on the wild side... you were the first to teach me how to dance fast dances haha! You're the one who feels a lot and yet holds it back inside.
7) When I first saw you, you looked so lost and afraid in a way. Over the years, we lost touch and we drifted apart. You are also one of my friends who I got to know later in my school life. But I do not regret it. Better late than never. I used to think you were a shallow person but I stand corrected. You are far from that. You are mature in your thinking and you are able to think beyond what I'd be able to conjure up. Like 1) both of us are from the wrong side of the tracks and yet we end up being good pals. I will really miss those sessions we used to have, while mooning around your desk or mine, sharing things on a quiet evening in school when we're supposed to be studying! What you've done to me... is to show me that the carefree attitude works a lot for you. And it should work for me, once I get to destress. You've also taught me a lot about making witty humor and jokes too. You've shown me that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover through yourself. You changed my stereo type thinking of you and others. You're the one who I enjoy talking to the most.
8) When I first saw you, I thought, Oh no, you're scary. Over the years, I was clearly proven wrong over and over again. You were not scary at all. Instead, you were friendly. Nice. Caring. Understanding. You offer your advice in your quiet and gentle way though you can often be rough when I just don't want to listen. Among the others, you are the one who can bug me for hours on end and finally get an answer in the end. Damn you're good. ;) What you've done to me is to be very thoughtful of others and always try to resolve things without going through World War 3. You like finding out things from different povs before making a decision. You keep calm and cool... better then me when the situation becomes heated. You're the one who gives the best hugs when life gets too dreary.
Thanks you lot. I'm gonna miss you all.
