Actually, was kind of lz to blog the rest of Miri. Coz well excitement die down liao bah.
BUT, stupid class monitor of a Khang ask me to do it so here goes.
Besides, I can always have this in my blog archive to laugh about it one day soon.
Day 2 - Friday (12/5)
The morning was free. Actually, we were supposed to go Curtin in the morning but since Curtin had a graduation day in the morning, the visit was postponed to the afternoon. We were supposed to meet up by 12.30 though.
The guys were supposed to have a football match at 6 in the morn? Or smth like that. 5B boys against 5C boys. But, I suspect, most of them couldn't wake up in time. HEHE.
Kim and I woke up at 6.30 to find that Tan was already up and awake in the gym. So Kim and I showered and then we got ready for breakfast. Went down to fetch Van, Sal and Jas before we went though.
After breakfast, while most ppl were using the sport facilities, the six of us went up to my room. Cyn, Tan them all went swimming and since we were neighbours, we ended up being caretakers of their belongings. But neh, I ain't complaining. Coz Cyn left her ipod together with its speakers with us. So for the next hour and a half Kim, Van and I benefited from all the 1000 songs in that ipod. Jas and Sal left us halfway to have a little walk in Marriott's beautiful garden. Small but absolutely loaded with cool and blooming flowers.
Tan didn't bring her swimwear and ended up wearning some tank top together with like 5 layers of underwear. One of them saying I'm sexy. Me and Kim were like laughing our heads off when we saw that until she stormed out the door to the pool. And considering the 5 underwears she wore, she practically hogged the laundry line with all of them when she got back and washed them. The horror of having to get rid of all of them when we wanted to bathe (the laundry line was in the way of the shower)
At about 11 Kim started to shower. When she came out, Tan came back and so we pitied her and let her go bathe first (anywhoz, she stank of CHLORINE) By the time I got into the bathroom, it was 15 minutes to 12.30. I came out of the bathroom at 12.25, hopping into my socks and then my shoes. At just about this time, Cyn walks into our room, complete in her swimming outfit...
Cyn: (stares at an uniformed clad Kim, Tan and me who's running like a mad idiot getting into my shoes) Oy, change so early for what.
Me: (spots sought after red tie on Tan's bed and pounces on it with right hand while left hand pulls up sock) Early mer?
Cyn: Ya. Meeting isn't until 1 right?
Kim, me and Tan stare at her, me frantically slinging tie around neck.
Kim: Uhh Cyn. Meeting is at 12.30.
Cyn: Even then not yet time wad.
Tan: Lu si beh gong kuan. IT"S 12 25 ALREADY YOU IDIOT!
Cyn: (grabs my left hand to look at my watch just as I'm about to tie tie) OH NO! I HAVEN"T BATHE YET!
Cyn runs frantically back to room.
Cyn: WINNIE! WHO"S BATHING!
Winnie: Pivian.
Cyn: PIVIAN PIVIAN! CAN I BATHE WITH YOU?
God that was funny.
Laughing like anything, Kim Tan and me stumble out of the room, my untied tie getting almost caught in the door. Fortunately didn't. Even though how much Tan tried to get it wedged there. :P
We finally left for Curtin. Yes, even Cyn made it on time. Why? Coz she jumped into the shower to bathe while Pivian was still brushing her teeth. LOL
Don't really remember the trip there. I was sleeping the whole way. Huahaha.
Went for a REALLY boring tour throughout the campus. The only cool thing about it was probably this council room. It had this Parliament style to it. You know horseshoes on two different levels. And huahaha, I sat on the higher level; Sal and Kim beside me. OOOOO and we got lollipops too. Haha. Ended up everyone started sucking their lolipops!
Oh and then there was this Curtin video with Curtin students saying how good Curtin is. And when this Chinese guy started to talk about his experiences and the China flag popped up to indicate his nationality, everyone went CHINA! And grinned evilly at Khang. :D
Then we went on tour the REAL campus. Got some refreshments before moving on. When some of the guys saw the Lakeside Apartments (which are accomodation for students)...
Guide: So that is the Lakeside Apartment...
Dex: Wahh, so lousy wan mer?
Everyone stares at him.
Dex: Uhh, actually quite good la.
Lol. But I have to admit. It looks shabby.
After the hideously long (and hot) tour of Curtin, we finalyl took a group photo (Muz has it) and clattered back into the bus.
And this is when we realize that our bus driver has a knack for always grinning at ppl. Esp Tan. EHHHH... ;) LOL
After Curtin, it was back to the hotel again to have a rest before coming out to dinner. Not much interesting stuff happening then though.
For dinner, we went to some Malay restaurant whose food was spicy and MTYP and Van almost died from eating them. Proof: To keep themselves from dying from such food, they drank lotsa lotsa iced juice. Huahaha.
Then it was off to the Miri International Jazz Festival (MIJF). And here there was a huge confusion.
Everything was fine at first. Everyone seemingly got their tags to enter... until there were left six of the ppl from our tour. The tickets, it seemed, was less than the supposed 40. There was a huge frenzy. And we started calling those who had entered the festival to come back to sort the whole mess out. And then we realized...
Those missing tickets? WERE WITH AIDAN AND NOEL. Wanna know why? Coz those stupid organizers go give them tickets when they weren't supposed to! The tickets were supposed to be kept temporarily by the organizers not them. And what more, they gave Aidan and Noel three each!! Memang man...
With the whole thing sorted out, we went in and managed to catch the last part of the first act: some jazz band from Swak. They were cool.
THEN, there was some weird classical jazz from a Korean lady who, in my opinion, kept screaming the lyrics. And it was... the whole thing... was weird. I mean, she sang a song on Pancakes man!
Because of that, everyone started to fall asleep one by one. We were supposed to go back at 11.30 that night. But since everyone couldn't stand it, save a few, we managed to bug the teachers to go back at 10.30.
Jackson Chan brought us back while the other two teachers stayed back to babysit the rest. Damn it. It was the worst decision I made in going back at 10.30. Because of that horribly lady, there was a fantastic band from Aus. DAMMIT!
We went back. And Kim, Tan and I fell into a deep sleep. Well, Tan had trouble sleeping actually coz Kim and I snored...
Tan tucks herself into bed and tries to sleep.
Kim starts to snore.
Tan: Dammit, how am I supposed to sleep?
Kim stops snoring.
Tan: Thank God now I can sleep.
I start snoring.
Tan: DAMMIT!
I stop snoring.
Tan: FINALLY...
Kim and I start snoring at the exact same moment.
Tan: ARGGHHHH!!!
She fell asleep with four pillows heaped over her head.
Kim fell asleep like a butterfly in a cocoon. None of her could be seen under the covers.
In the middle of the night, Tan woke up to go the bathroom. When she came out, Kim had changed her sleeping position. She had her head propped up against her left hand and her right hand was wiping her nose every once and again as she sniffled. And her legs was in the position like she was standing like a sumo. She awoke yelled at Tan to shut the bathroom light off and fell asleep again.
Poor Tan.
Will continue the rest of the trip tomorrow. 2nd day was probably the most boring day of all. Not many jokes. Hrumph. Oh yeah, jokes from the 1st day that I forgot.
At some park which have the suspended bridge (yes the one with ropes and can swing violently)...
Ms Teo was clinging on for dear life.
Me and Van laughed at her as we walked past.
She glared at us going WELL CAN YOU BLAME ME?!
Laughed even louded until Sat and Noel started to jump up and down on the bridge.
Van and I yelled in fright and clung onto the bridge too.
Ms Teo gives a satisfied smirk and goes NOW LOOK WHO"S SCARED NOW?!
Oh. Cyn tricked me that there was a frog in some pool. So I decided to trick Ms Teo...
Me: (acting frightened as Ms Teo walks towards pool) MS TEO MS TEO! GOT FROG!!!
Ms Teo: (jumps back and screams)
Me: (laugh like I want to die) NEH, JUST JOKING!!
Ms Teo: SIIIAAWWWW HUIIIIII!!! (screeches louder and lurching towards me chases me into the bus) YOU COME BACK HERE!!!!!!
Lol.
