Comprehension Dawns?
There are things in this world that, well, may never be understood.
Like why disasters happen when mankind least expect it. Like why planet Earth must orbit the Sun or everything on Earth dies. Like why must the rich pick on the poor even when they have all the riches in the world already. Like why are some plants green and some plants aren't. Like why there are only five continents in the world when there is still enough space for some more. Like why is the Earth sphere in shape and not oblong. Like why are humans the smartest species on earth when physically, we aren't the most dominant. Is it just because what we lack in physique is balanced by what we have in our brains?
Mankind will never comprehend the many mysteries of this Earth. Like for those who love unsolved puzzles, whether the Loch Ness monster really exists? Or are there really aliens out there and we aren't alone? Or who set up the Stonehedge and how did they do it? Or did the mysterious city of Atlantis every exist? Or does the Shroud of Turin really belong to Christ? Or who built the Pyramid of Giza and what was it real purpose (it's not a Pharoah's tomb by the way)?
Mysteries of old, present and future. We never were meant to understand them. We were just meant to puzzle over them and to never obtain the satisfactory solution.
But you know what is the most puzzling mystery of all for me?
Well, well, surprise of surprises (or maybe for some of you, not) it's mankind and the human nature.
Have you ever given that a thought?
Given a thought about why some people were born with brown eyes and some were born with black? About why some people were meant to be tall and some were meant to be short? About why some were meant to be plump even if they exercised their lungs out and some were meant to be slim even though they pile their plates as high as the Petronas Twin Towers? About why some are fair and some are not?
Genes, you might say, is the reason but... remember, we came from the same person, the scientific Adam. And he's only one person. How can his genes evolve so many times to produce the gazillions of individuals in the world today? The influence of the environment on our genes you might say is the answer. But think about it. Even within the same climate, the same environment, there are short and tall people. Plump and slim. Black hair and brownish hair. Genes in the line of ancestors, you might say. And yet, ah hah... there are siblings who are smarter than their other siblings. There are siblings who are tall and yet some who are short. And they are from the same family. The safest answer perhaps is that everyone has different genetic codes. And yep, that is right. But think about it. Who set this different genetic codes? How are these genetic codes set? Is it just by slip of fate and chance? And how on earth can there be so many billions of genetic codes to create so many individuals when God only has 46 chromosomes in each person to play around with?
But the greatest mystery of all is perhaps this.
What is there to the human nature?
We laugh when we're happy. We cry when we're sad. But why the hell do we do that? Is it just because we see others do the exact same thing when they're happy or sad?
Why do we feel the way we do? Why do we fall in love? How do we fall in love? Just because we're attracted to that person? How do we get attracted? The scent of the person? The behavior? The looks? The personality? And is it true opposites attract? And yet not all do!
Why does one person fall in love with another when even his or her own twin doesn't? Love just happens... does it really? What happens when one falls in love? Why does one's heart start racing? Or one goes breathless? Or one's palms grow cold in fear? Hormones much? Or does the brain just go crazy when we fall in love?
And above all. Why do we act the way we do even when we know we're hurting someone? Why do we backstab? Why do we bitch? Why do we loathe others' guts? Why do we ditch our friends who are way better than us? Why do we lie? Why do we cheat? Why do we murder? Why do we slaughter? Why do we torture? Why do we have greed? Why do we trample on others? Why do we humiliate? Why do we have racism? Why do we discriminate? Why do we vie for attention of others? Why do we just want to be the survivor in this doggy dog world?
I mean there's a place for everyone of us in this world. Why compete and trample others underfoot? We're not animals, we're civilised beings living in a civilised world where everything is enough for everyone. So why compete for the better job? Why compete for better marks? Why compete for the prize when at the end of the day, it does not make any difference?
We're all humans. We're all of the same species. Just because members of the same species compete like hell in the animal kingdom, doesn't mean we have to. They compete for mates. Look at us. Guys fight for the same girl, girls bitch for the same guy. Think about it. Why compete when there is bound to be someone else better suited for you out there somewhere?
Why are we here? Just to make others feel and look bad? Just to hurt others till they commit suicide? We're here for a higher purpose. We're here because we were born into this world not to betray others or to make others hurt. But we're here maybe just because we can stop this craziness of this rat-race crazy world. Cliche it might sound but simply put, why keep doing something just for the sake of doing it?
Think about it.
They say mankind is the smartest species on earth. But are we really?
They say we are the most intelligent beings and yet we can't even fathom our own minds and nature.
Comprehension dawns much?

I think that people are intelligent up to the point where they fail to see their intelligence falter. And they think they are intelligent so much so that they presume that the 'brainchildren' of their intelligence are impenetrable and indestructible. Anyway, to sound less rhetoric, and as an answer to your question...
Life's like that.
We are different because of climates?
Could be we change to suit our surroundings. In other terms could be called evolution.
People do all that because they can. Besides, humans are nothing more than near hairless apes. We act just like animals in the wild if you actually look at it properly.
oh yeah.I forgot to add that there was some study that ahd a hypothesis that people are all different because maybe last time we were suited for specific jobs. Some are taller maybe to get fruits on tall trees? Maybe some are heavy so can sit down on wild animals to kill them? Or maybe some are skinny so can fit through cracks in the wall. Everything has a purpouse. Its just that we are all too dense to absorb it.
Hmm yeah I guess that mebbe we were meant for specific jobs in the past but still it doesn't really explain us being diff right?
I mean... some families have siblings that are fat thin short tall... So what? The tall one gets fruits? The fat one sits on animals?
Okay, what if the family is inbalanced? Like what if ALL of them are short? So then no one harvest fruits from tall trees la! Ahaha...
